As an artist/activist I have art projects in various stages of development. These are worthy and sometimes urgent educational/cultural/political initiatives. I appeal to art lovers to donate/sponsor or get involved with these projects.
Some projects are my own fine art activities. Others are connected to The Lovelink Project which is a nonprofit I founded in NY in 1985 to facilitate hands-on community art programms. They are usually hands-on painting activities with children.
I’m asking you to review the projects on my list and consider sponsoring or providing volunteer assistance. Help is needed in concept development, research, networking, fundraising/crowdsourcing, communications and media.

Lahaina Firestorm Recovery

My painting of Sacred Whale Lahaina seems a little prophetic in that I completed it just prior to the devastating fires last year. The subject is of a whale rising out of the ocean with Lahaina in the background. It reflects the story of a phoenix rising from the ashes.
Lahiaina is still in desperate need of recovery help and moral support. I have ideas whereby my art could be used to initiate some fundraising and other art project in the interest of Hawaiian cultural practitioners around Lahania.

This art project will document the atrocities of October 07, 2023 in Israel by Hamas and the ramped up genocide response by the U.S. funded Zionist government of Israel.
Israel with the support of Western Colonial states has been provoking and attacking Palestinians since before Nakba May 15, 1948. At that time Zionists in Europe wanted an Israeli Jewish state. So the British caved out a place for Israel from territory it did not own. 750,000 Palestinians were displaced by Jewish settlers from Russia and Europe. Prior to May 1948, Jews in Palestine made up only 3% of the population. There was relative peace with Palistinians and the Jews were not interested in an Israeli state. The Colonial Settlement then was a policy of ethnic cleansing and it’s the same today with the Gaza Genocide.
My project will consist of a long canvas incrementally rolled out and painted in a public place to bring attention to the genocide in Gaza. I call for a permanent ceasefire and justice.

Julian and Stella Assange Prison Wedding

Apart from the cruel treatment of an honest spokesperson and publisher, apart from the effect that his persecution and unjust imprisonment has on free speech globally, it is the horrible disruption this political witch hunt is having on his family. I want to bring attention to the emotional and universal empathy we have there.
Enough! Their is growing public outrage over publisher Julian Assange’s isolation by the British Government: done at the behest of the USA Government. Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been in isolation in England since 2012.
He has two little boys with his wife Stella. They were married within his prison walls on 23 March, 2022. [I just saw a Tweet/X of Stella’s and realized I wrote this brief and publishing it now on their 2nd Wedding Anniversary.]
In 2010 and on, Wikileaks was able to provide a platform for whistleblowers. Assange and his team uploaded masses of evidence on its website of US war crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq. The information is indiscriminate that Wikileaks publishes many other nation’s dirty secrets that people have a right to know.
He has been held at Belmarsh Prison for the past 5 years and, before that, in asylum at London’s Ecuadorian Embassy. The USA has demanded the UK extradite Assange to face charges of violation of the USA Espionage Act of 1917. He’s subject to a further 175 years in a US prison.
But Assange has no allegiance to the USA, he is an Australian citizen. The USA’s arrogance and presumed reach is beyond any notion of nationhood and sovereignty. As a political prisoner (and many other reasons) the UK Crown is violating its own laws by effectively punishing him indefinitely.
Since his story began this single journalist/publisher is being used by the USA as an example to freeze all journalists and publishers worldwide. His maltreatment is negatively impacting the democratic principles of free speech and freedom of the press. Assange has not been permitted to be photographed by the press since 2019. The message to his media peers is that Julian Assange is to disappear.
Please help this art piece. I need help with communications and funds to offset material and other costs.
